I am classified as a junior at The University of Alabama, however, I am new to the world of journalism. I was formerly a geology major with a biochemical concentration hoping to study climate change. It had been a lifelong dream of mine to study our planet and help make an improvement in our environment. While good science is essential, I believe photojournalism can be much more influential when it comes to effecting change. This is why I decided to pursue a career in visual journalism. I hope to one day work with National Geographic as a traveling photographer.
